One of the largest sources of greenhouse gases is the production of electricity. Thanks to the tremendous innovation over the past decades, renewable energy sources such as solar and wind are now cheaper than traditional fossil fuel based electricity. The biggest hurdle in transitioning to clean energy is a political one. We must urge our politicians to stand up against the powerful fossil fuel industry and accelerate the transition to clean, renewable electricity.
